What to do this long weekend

With the long weekend on the horizon, you may be wondering how best to spend your time.

Before making any decisions, here are some activities that Cayman has to offer this National Heroes Day long weekend.

Friday:

  • Educating Rita, Location: Cayman Drama Society (7:30pm-9:30pm):

If the theatre is your style, come out and support Cayman’s local talent. The Cayman Drama Society will be hosting ‘Educating Rita,’ a dramatic comedy where student becomes teacher. This theatrical spectacular is perfect for the entire family to enjoy. Check it out here to see what’s in store!

Saturday:

  • A Mad Tea Party, Location: Anchor and Den, Marriott Beach Resort (1:30pm-4:30pm)

Sunday:

  • Stride Against Cancer Run, Location: Public Beach (6am-9am)

Who will you stride for? Come on down and put your money to a good cause by supporting the Cayman Islands Cancer Society. Just make sure you register before the day of! Click here for more details.

  • Hatitude Brunch, Location: Grand Old House (11:30am-3:00pm)

The National Trust will be hosting their annual Hatitude Brunch. All proceeds will go towards the conservation and preservation of Cayman’s beautiful environment. Click here to learn more.

Monday:

  • National Heroes Day

Considering all of the activities that Cayman has to offer, it’s easy to lose sight on the real reason for this day of rest. National Heroes Day commemorates Cayman’s heroes. These men and women not only made significant contributions to Cayman culture, but more importantly shaped and improved these beautiful islands we call home.
