Our tasty guide to Restaurant Month 2017

Most people associate October with Halloween and all the spooky fun that comes with it, however, foodies have a reason to celebrate this month – the 5th annual CITA Restaurant Month.


Organised by Cayman Islands Tourism Association and proudly sponsored by Good Taste, participating restaurants have created delicious 3-course menus starting at just CI$15 for lunch and CI$25 for dinner.


This month-long culinary event sees eighteen of Cayman’s best restaurants set great value for money, fixed priced and totally delicious lunch and dinner menus. With so many different dishes on offer, Restaurant Month is a great opportunity to explore restaurants you’re yet to visit, or a good excuse to dine out at your favourite place.


We’ve been busy checking out what’s on offer, but in the meantime, here’s a quick guide to tickle your taste buds and help you choose where to start.


Agua’s three course lunch and dinner menus are packed with delicious local seafood and signature dishes, all with an Italian twist. With a wine pairing option too, you’ll be planning multiple trips back to try it all.


Landing the island’s freshest fish, Catch also redefines drive-thru eating, allowing you to park your boat at its own dock to enjoy some of the best alfresco dining in Cayman.


With a laid back atmosphere, Rackam’s Waterfront Bar & Grill features a combination of your favourite comfort foods and some of the best views in the Caribbean.


Edoardo’s brings Italy to Cayman. With homemade being the focal point of their delicious menu, this charming Italian recently celebrated 30 years in the business.


Despite being one of Cayman’s newest restaurants, the chefs at Ave (at the Kimpton Seafire Resort + Spa) are certainly not rookies. Treat yourself with their Mediterranean swordfish or steak tartare. When the menu includes a wine pairing, you know it’s a winner. Another popular Italian, Casanova’s has included wine on both their lunch and dinner menus to pair with their rustic pastas and pizzas.


Serving up the best that modern Caribbean cuisine has to offer, Cimboco is perfectly located on Seven Mile Beach and the family-friendly vibe will ensure everyone is happy. Take a look at their Restaurant Month dinner menu.


Two great restaurants under one roof? Both Ferdinand’s and The Beach House, at The Westin Grand Cayman Seven Mile Beach Resort & Spa, are participating in this year’s Restaurant Month, allowing you to choose from healthy salads, crab cakes, ceviche and much more.


In the heart of George Town, Lobster Pot offers some of the most spectacular views of Cayman’s sunset. Need a reason to visit earlier in the day? The main courses on their lunch menu include their famous fish and chips.


With over a century’s worth of service under their aprons, Grand Old House has been a long time favourite of locals and visitors alike. Situated on large decking overlooking the Caribbean Sea, this idyllic setting is a perfect romantic dinner choice and with local wahoo and tuna carpaccio on the menu, you won’t be disappointed.


Guy Harvey’s Restaurant and Bar have lobster on their Restaurant Menu, alongside other popular West Indies and French dishes for you to choose from, on both their lunch and dinner menus.


Take a stroll down the wooden bridge that leads to the world of Ristorante Pappagallo’s contemporary cuisine. Their 4 courses for $45 include goats cheese and pumpkin ravioli, yellowfin tuna and their delectable chocolate martini.


Why not let The Brasserie do the cooking for you tonight? Just be sure to save room for dessert: your choice between crème brulee and sticky toffee date pudding. Yum!


The Wharf has recently reopened after extensive renovations and is the perfect spot for a romantic lunch, with their $20 Restaurant Month lunch menu filled with choices, including pan roasted local snapper, and mushroom and zucchini risotto.


Organic, sustainable and local produce is at the heart of Vivo, located by Dive Tech in West Bay. They’re famous for their lionfish, freshly caught by divers and handed over to the restaurant. Luckily for us all, lionfish fillet features on their menus this Restaurant Month.


For Cayman’s best burgers and one of our most popular vendors at Taste of Cayman, head down to Burger Shack to try their limited edition Kiwi Burger with egg and beetroot, served with fries, soft drink AND dessert for only $10 at lunchtime.


Cayman Cabana will have you diving into local flavors with their market catch ceviche, available on their lunch menu, alternatively get stuck in with sticky baby back ribs for dinner.
